Potential is only the beginning.

Every horse at South Corner is approached as an individual. Beyond pedigree and performance, we look for character, intelligence and the instinct to compete. Through patient development, exceptional care and close collaboration with leading riders and specialists, we create a path around each horse—towards international sport, breeding, or a future that connects both.

Maximilian “Max” Weishaupt is a German international showjumping rider known for his calm, precise riding and instinctive understanding of horses. Raised in one of Germany’s respected equestrian families, Max has developed and competed horses from promising young talents to CSI5* level.

His career includes silver and bronze medals at the German Championships, international Grand Prix victories and success on the Global Champions League circuit. In 2026, he joined Riesenbeck International and has since contributed to major team victories, while also securing individual wins in Monaco and across Germany.

As a rider for South Corner, Max currently competes internationally with Summer ter Leydonck. His knowledge and horsemanship provide the foundation on which South Corner’s breeding and sporting future is built.

Julia Kogelnig

Julia Kogelnig is an Austrian international showjumping rider whose career combines early championship success with extensive experience developing horses for top-level sport. Born in Bavaria and riding from the age of three, she won her first S-level class at 15 before becoming a multiple Bavarian champion, competing in Junior and Young Rider Nations Cups and claiming bronze at the 2018 German Championships. Today, Julia represents Austria and competes on the international and Nations Cup circuit.

As one of South Corner’s international riders, Julia is closely involved in the daily training and sporting development of our horses. She guides each horse towards international competition, building confidence, consistency and experience along the way. Her partnership with Viblue PS—including two Six Bar victories at the 2026 Danube Champions Tour—reflects this thoughtful, progressive approach.

Working closely with our trainers, grooms and wider team, Julia combines competitive ambition with sensitivity to every horse’s character and needs. Her calm, detail-focused horsemanship allows each horse the time and trust to develop at its own pace—strengthening South Corner’s current sport team while helping shape its long-term future.

[ OUR BELIEF ]

“The future of our sport begins with the choices we make today: the horses we believe in, the way we develop them and the bloodlines we preserve for the next generation.”
